What is CVE-2024-13720?

The WP Image Uploader plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit insufficient file path validation. This flaw exists in the gky_image_uploader_main_function(), enabling unauthorized deletion of arbitrary files on the server. If critical files, such as wp-config.php, are targeted and deleted, it could lead to severe consequences including remote code execution, compromising the integrity of the WordPress installation.
