What is CVE-2024-13791?

The Bit Assist plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Path Traversal vulnerability through the downloadResponseFile() function. This flaw allows authenticated users with Administrator-level access to exploit the vulnerability, enabling them to read arbitrary files stored on the server. Such access raises significant security concerns as it may expose sensitive information, thereby jeopardizing the integrity and confidentiality of the affected WordPress site.
