What is CVE-2024-1684?

The Otter Blocks plugin for WordPress allows authenticated attackers with contributor access and higher to exploit a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. This is due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the contact form file field's CSS metabox across all versions up to and including 2.6.3. Attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into the pages, which execute when users access the affected pages, leading to potential data theft or site compromise.
