What is CVE-2024-1940?

The Brizy – Page Builder plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with contributor privileges or higher to exploit Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the inclusion of malicious scripts in post content. This issue arises due to inadequate input sanitization, which is only performed on the client side, coupled with insufficient output escaping. Consequently, when users access the affected pages, these scripts execute, potentially compromising user data and site integrity.
