What is CVE-2024-2342?

The Appointment Booking Calendar β€” Simply Schedule Appointments Booking Plugin for WordPress has a SQL Injection vulnerability that affects all versions up to and including 1.6.7.7. This flaw arises from inadequate escaping of the customer_id parameter, combined with ineffective preparation of the SQL query. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can manipulate existing SQL queries to inject additional queries, facilitating the extraction of sensitive data from the database. The lack of proper safeguards makes this vulnerability critical for all users of the affected plugin.
