What is CVE-2024-2791?

The Metform Elementor Contact Form Builder plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to exploit insufficient sanitization and escaping of user-supplied attributes. This leads to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) via the plugin's widgets, enabling attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts can execute when any user accesses the compromised pages, potentially compromising the security of the affected website.
