A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Post SMTP mailer plugin, allowing an attacker to inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by users. This issue arises from the improper neutralization of input during the web page generation process, thereby enabling refactored user requests to execute harmful scripts. The affected versions, including 2.8.6 and earlier, are at risk of exploitation, compromising applications reliant on this mailer plugin.
