What is CVE-2024-34741?

A vulnerability exists in the handling of screen overlays within the Android operating system, specifically in the method managing screensaver visibility. A logic error allows message content to appear on the screensaver even when users have set restrictions on lock screen visibility. This flaw could enable local escalation of privilege, as no extra execution privileges are required for an attacker to exploit it. User interaction is unnecessary for the attack to be carried out, presenting a risk for users who may believe their sensitive information is secure.
