Summary
The Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress is affected by a vulnerability that facilitates Local File Inclusion (LFI). This flaw exists in all versions up to and including 3.3.0, specifically through the 'content_block' shortcode. When exploited by authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher, attackers can include and execute arbitrary files located on the server. This vulnerability can lead to unauthorized execution of PHP code, circumvent access controls, and expose sensitive data by manipulating the inclusion of files, even those that are deemed 'safe' for upload, such as images.
