What is CVE-2024-3594?

The IDonate WordPress plugin, up to version 1.9.0, contains a vulnerability where certain settings are not properly sanitized or escaped. This lack of sanitization permits high privilege users, including administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, even in environments where the 'unfiltered_html' capability is restricted, such as multisite setups. This vulnerability poses significant security risks and may lead to unauthorized access or control over compromised websites.
