What is CVE-2024-39681?

The Cooked plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) due to inadequate nonce validation in its AJAX action handler. This flaw permits attackers to deceive authenticated users into executing unwanted actions without their consent. It is critical for users operating versions up to and including 1.7.15.4 to promptly upgrade to version 1.8.0 to safeguard against this vulnerability, as there are currently no effective workarounds.
