What is CVE-2024-4037?

The WP Photo Album Plus plugin for WordPress contains a security flaw that allows unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary shortcodes. This vulnerability arises from the lack of proper validation for an executed action within the plugin, enabling attackers to launch arbitrary commands by exploiting the do_shortcode functionality. All versions up to and including 8.7.02.003 are affected, posing a risk for users who haven’t updated to the latest version.
