Rocket.Chat versions 6.12.0, 6.11.2, 6.10.5, 6.9.6, 6.8.6, 6.7.8, and earlier are prone to an issue involving DOM-based Cross-site Scripting (XSS). This vulnerability allows attackers to exploit the UpdateOTRAck method, potentially enabling them to craft messages that include an XSS payload. When executed, this can lead to unauthorized actions taken on behalf of users, compromising the security of affected instances and exposing sensitive information.
