What is CVE-2024-56256?

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Embed PDF Viewer plugin developed by Andy Fragen. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages, which could be executed in the context of users accessing the affected web application. As a result, sensitive information may be compromised, and unauthorized actions could be performed on behalf of users. The issue affects all versions of the Embed PDF Viewer up to and including version 2.3.1.
