What is CVE-2024-6588?

The PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry for WordPress exhibits a vulnerability that allows reflected cross-site scripting through the 'media_url' parameter. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in all versions up to and including 11.9.10 enable unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. This exploitation occurs when a user is tricked into clicking on a malicious link, leading to potentially harmful scripts executing in their browser.
