What is CVE-2024-6718?

The PVN Auth Popup plugin for WordPress fails to properly validate and escape certain shortcode attributes, enabling users with contributor roles and above to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it may allow attackers to inject malicious scripts that could execute in the context of users accessing the affected pages, potentially compromising their data and security.
