Arbitrary File Uploads vulnerability in Advanced File Manager plugin
CVE-2024-8126
What is CVE-2024-8126?
The Advanced File Manager plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that permits authenticated users with Subscriber-level access or higher, granted appropriate permissions by an Administrator, to upload arbitrary files. This vulnerability arises through the improper handling of file uploads in the 'class_fma_connector.php' file. Attackers can exploit this weakness to upload a malicious .htaccess file, thereby gaining the ability to upload arbitrary files to the server. Once an attacker successfully uploads a file, the potential for executing arbitrary code on the affected WordPress site becomes a significant threat.
