What is CVE-2024-8542?

The Everest Forms WordPress plugin, prior to version 3.0.3.1, is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. This flaw arises from inadequate sanitization and escaping of certain settings. As a result, high privilege users, such as administrators, could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute malicious scripts, even in environments where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as multisite setups.
