What is CVE-2024-8620?

The MapPress Maps for WordPress plugin prior to version 2.93 lacks proper sanitization and escaping of certain settings. This oversight enables high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, even when unfiltered_html capabilities are restricted, potentially affecting multisite environments.
