What is CVE-2024-8701?

The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress versions up to 1.0.4 is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting due to improper sanitization and escaping of certain settings. This vulnerability allows high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute harmful scripts even in multisite configurations where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted. Exploiting this flaw could lead to unauthorized access and manipulation of website content, compromising the integrity and security of the website.
