What is CVE-2024-9236?

The Team WordPress plugin prior to version 4.4.2 is vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting due to the failure to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. This flaw allows users with elevated privileges, such as administrators, to execute XSS attacks, even in environments where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as multisite networks. Without appropriate security measures, attackers could exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts, compromising user data and site integrity.
