What is CVE-2024-9416?

The Modula Image Gallery plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability allowing authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to exploit insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the bundled FancyBox JavaScript library. This flaw can lead to the injection of arbitrary web scripts into web pages, which can be executed whenever a user accesses the affected page, potentially compromising user data and the integrity of the site.
