What is CVE-2024-9599?
The Popup Box WordPress plugin prior to version 4.7.8 is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of certain settings. This vulnerability enables high-privilege users, such as administrators, to inject harmful scripts into the website. Even when the 'unfiltered_html' capability is restricted, for example in a multisite setup, attackers may exploit this flaw if accessed through affected plugin configurations.
