What is CVE-2024-9709?

The EKC Tournament Manager plugin for WordPress, prior to version 2.2.2, lacks proper CSRF protection when updating its settings. This oversight can be exploited by attackers to execute unwanted actions on behalf of logged-in administrators. By initiating a CSRF attack, an attacker could potentially manipulate the plugin's settings without the admin's consent, posing a significant risk to the security of WordPress sites utilizing this plugin.
