Stored Cross-Site Scripting in Shortcode Button for WordPress
CVE-2025-10194
6.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2025-10194?
The Shortcode Button plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and higher, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. This occurs due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes through the 'button' shortcode. As a result, malicious scripts can be injected into pages, executing whenever a user visits the compromised pages. Users are urged to review and update their plugin to mitigate the risk.
