The Simple SEO plugin for WordPress versions prior to 2.0.32 contains vulnerabilities that fail to properly sanitize and escape certain parameters during output. This flaw enables users with minimal permissions, such as contributors, to execute Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. Such attacks can compromise the integrity of the website by allowing the execution of malicious scripts in the browsers of visitors, potentially leading to data theft or site defacement.
