What is CVE-2025-10580?
The Widget Options plugin, a popular tool for managing widgets and blocks on WordPress sites, suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that affects all versions up to and including 4.1.2. This flaw arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping within multiple functions. Authenticated attackers, who possess Contributor-level access or higher, can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. As a result, these malicious scripts execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, potentially compromising site integrity and user data.
