What is CVE-2025-11186?

The Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA plugin for WordPress presents a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to exploit the cookies_accepted shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, enabling the injection of arbitrary web scripts into pages that execute upon access by users. All versions up to and including 2.5.8 are affected, posing significant security risks.
