What is CVE-2025-11455?

The Perfect Images plugin for WordPress is susceptible to unauthorized data modification due to a lack of proper capability checks in the /wp-json/wp-retina-2x/v1/replace REST API. This vulnerability impacts all versions up to and including 7.2.0. As a result, authenticated users with Author-level access and higher can replace files that do not belong to them, potentially leading to unauthorized content changes and data integrity issues.
