The AudioTube plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the 'caption' attribute of its 'audiotube' shortcode. This issue arises from inadequate input validation and output escaping mechanisms. Authenticated users with contributor-level roles and higher can exploit this flaw to inject malicious web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page, posing significant risks to site integrity and user data.
