The JB News Ticker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping within the 'jbticker' shortcode's 'id' attribute. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into web pages. As a result, these scripts can execute in the browsers of users who visit the compromised pages, potentially leading to data theft or other malicious activities.
