The Magazine Companion plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'headerHtmlTag' attribute in the bnm-blocks/featured-posts-1 block. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied values, enabling authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. The injected scripts will execute when users view impacted pages, posing significant risks to website security and user data integrity.
