What is CVE-2025-12010?

The Authors List plugin for WordPress is prone to a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher to exploit arbitrary method calls within the Authors_List_Shortcode class. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information, such as password hashes, email addresses, usernames, and activation keys. This exposure occurs via specially crafted shortcode attributes, compromising the security of user data in all versions up to 2.0.6.1.
