What is CVE-2025-12081?

The ACF Photo Gallery Field plugin for WordPress is susceptible to unauthorized data modification due to a missing capability check in the acf_photo_gallery_edit_save function. This flaw affects all versions up to and including 3.0, enabling authenticated attackers with subscriber level access or higher to alter titles, captions, and metadata of any media attachments within the gallery. This vulnerability poses significant risks to website integrity and data authenticity.
