What is CVE-2025-12178?

The SpiceForms Form Builder plugin for WordPress exhibits a vulnerability through the 'spiceforms' shortcode, affecting all versions up to and including 1.0. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access can manipulate the application to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Such scripts may then execute in the browsers of users accessing the compromised pages, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, or further exploitation.
