Stored Cross-Site Scripting in Phlox Theme Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2025-12379

6.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2025-12379?

The Phlox theme plugin for WordPress is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting vulnerabilities due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping methods. This vulnerability arises from the handling of 'tag' and 'title_tag' parameters, which allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. If exploited, these scripts can execute when other users access the compromised pages, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or user impersonation.
