What is CVE-2025-12416?

The Pagerank Tools plugin for WordPress is susceptible to stored Cross-Site Scripting, which occurs due to inadequate nonce validation in the pr_save_settings() function and insufficient input sanitization. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit the plugin’s settings page by injecting malicious scripts through a forged request, potentially misleading a site administrator into executing the attack. The consequences may include the execution of harmful scripts whenever the settings page is accessed, posing significant security risks to users.
