What is CVE-2025-12563?

The Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Subscriber-level access and above to upload mp4 files to the specified directory. This issue arises due to an inadequate capability check within the uploadVideo() function, which has been present in all versions up to and including 8.6.0. As a result, this flaw could lead to unauthorized file uploads, potentially compromising the security of affected WordPress sites.
