What is CVE-2025-12577?

The Listar – Directory Listing & Classifieds plugin for WordPress is susceptible to unauthorized data modifications due to a missing capability check on the '/wp-json/listar/v1/place/save' REST API endpoint. This vulnerability affects all versions of the plugin up to and including version 3.0.0, allowing authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to alter listing details. This poses a risk to the integrity of user data and can lead to further exploitation if not addressed.
