What is CVE-2025-12645?

The Inline Frame – Iframe plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks via the 'embedsite' shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or greater can exploit this weakness to inject malicious web scripts into pages. Consequently, these scripts may execute whenever a user accesses the compromised pages, potentially compromising user security and data integrity.
