What is CVE-2025-12648?

The WP-Members Membership Plugin for WordPress has a significant security vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to access sensitive user-uploaded files. This issue arises from improper handling of file storage in predictable directories, specifically in the user-specific directories located within wp-content/uploads/wpmembers/user_files/<user_id>/. The lack of sufficient access controls means that anyone who can guess or manage to enumerate user IDs and filenames can exploit this flaw to download files directly. As a result, it poses a severe risk to user privacy and data integrity.
