The Padlet Shortcode plugin for WordPress exhibits a vulnerability that allows stored cross-site scripting through the 'key' parameter in the 'wallwisher' shortcode. This issue arises from a lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to insert arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed whenever users access an affected page, posing significant security risks to web applications utilizing this plugin.
