CVE-2025-12753
6.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2025-12753?
The Chart Expert plugin for WordPress suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'pmzez_chart' shortcode. Authenticated users, with contributor-level access and above, can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts may execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, potentially compromising user data and site integrity. Mitigation requires updating to a version with improved security checks.
