What is CVE-2025-12814?

The SiteSEO – SEO Simplified plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that permits authenticated users with certain settings capabilities to perform unauthorized modifications. Specifically, due to an incorrect capability check in the siteseo_reset_settings function, these users can reset the plugin's settings, potentially leading to misconfigurations and loss of user-defined settings. This flaw affects all versions of the plugin up to and including version 1.3.2.
