Directory Traversal in Simple CSV Table Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2025-12960
6.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2025-12960?
The Simple CSV Table plugin for WordPress allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher to exploit a Directory Traversal vulnerability through the href parameter in the [csv] shortcode. This occurs due to inadequate validation of the path when user-supplied input is concatenated to a base directory path. As a result, attackers can potentially access arbitrary files on the server, compromising sensitive data, including database credentials and authentication keys.
