What is CVE-2025-1307?
The Newscrunch theme for WordPress contains a security flaw that allows authenticated users, starting from Subscriber-level access, to perform arbitrary file uploads. This vulnerability is due to a lack of proper capability checks in the newscrunch_install_and_activate_plugin() function, impacting all versions up to and including 1.8.4.1.
