What is CVE-2025-13729?

The Entry Views plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through its 'entry-views' shortcode. This occurs in all versions up to and including 1.0.0 due to inadequate input sanitization and insufficient output escaping of user-supplied attributes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious web scripts. These scripts execute when a user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and data theft.
