What is CVE-2025-13859?

The AffiliateX – Amazon Affiliate Plugin for WordPress suffers from a vulnerability that allows authenticated users, starting from the Subscriber level, to execute arbitrary JavaScript code. This occurs due to a missing capability check on the save_customization_settings AJAX action, which enables an attacker to store malicious code in the site's backend. The vulnerability affects versions 1.0.0 through 1.3.9.3, posing a significant risk to site integrity as the malignant scripts execute upon rendering any AffiliateX block.
