What is CVE-2025-1405?

The Product Catalog Simple plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the use of the show_products shortcode. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on attributes provided by users. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access can inject malicious web scripts into the pages. These scripts execute when users visit the compromised pages, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and information exposure.
