What is CVE-2025-14081?
The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to bypass profile privacy settings. This is caused by an issue in the secure fields mechanism where field keys are erroneously listed in the allowed fields before applying the required permission check during rendering. As a result, users can manipulate their profile privacy options, such as setting their profile to 'Only me', even if administrators have disabled this feature for their roles.
